We love having the opportunity to help budding personal trainers and pass on some of our knowledge and skills by accepting applicants for their work placement to complete their Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness

Some of you may have noticed Brooke Wilson hanging out with Megan and a couple of the other staff here at health culture these last couple of weeks

Last year Brooke decided to pursue this path whilst studying for her HSC.

Why did you decide to complete your Cert 3 and 4 in Fitness?

After finishing my PDHPE studies I found I was still wanting to learn more. I’ve always been passionate about health and fitness, and I actually completed my Year 10 work experience here at health culture in 2015

Since becoming a member of health culture, participating in regular classes, as well as completing my own gym programs, it was an easy decision to make.

Have you always been active?

Sport has always been a major part of my life. I’ve always been involved in something, whether it be athletics or netball.

What do you hope to achieve or do with your qualification?

My main goal is to educate individuals in the community of the benefits physical activity has in one’s life, and how people can better themselves and those around them.

I will further develop my passion for health as I will be studying a Bachelor of Physical Health and Education in 2019.

Why did you pick health culture for your placement?

I chose health culture not only because it is my local gym, but because of the talented personal trainers it has, such as Megan and Jamie, and because of the great moral at health culture.

How has health culture helped you?

Doing placement at health culture with Megan has allowed me to have a greater insight into life as a personal trainer. The variety of clientele at health culture is exceptional and this has helped me to adjust a session to suit a specific client needs. Overall, I have had a great time learning the ropes, and am extremely lucky to have such a wonderful facility to do so at.
